Department of Southern Swedish Forest Science

We are looking for a highly motivated individual in the field of forest management research.

About the Job

The candidate will belong to the management group at the department and work in a team focused on forest management for diverse objectives, addressing issues related to climate adaptation and high vs low-intensity forestry.

Your Background

The candidate must have a PhD in forest management or a related field. The candidate must have documented experience in forest management in research and/or work experience outside academia. We are looking for a researcher with an interdisciplinary background that includes production ecology work both in academic research and practical application in the forestry sector.

The department values candidates who have an interest in teaching and supervising university students. Documented experience in research on cultivation systems with alternative tree species to spruce and pine, particularly in relation to forest production and adaptation to future climate conditions, is advantageous. The position will include teaching in both Swedish and English, as well as the ability to assimilate information and communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
